Antifreeze
Applies to: Any business that generates or accumulates used antifreeze
Requires: Hazardous waste regulations may apply to storage and disposal

    Applies to: Any facility where demolition and renovation operations involve processing, handling, or disposing of asbestos-containg material
    Requires: Rules cover exposure limits, work practices, and documentation

    Applies to: Any facility that collects or stores spent batteries
    Requires:

    Batteries are hazardous wastes, but can be handled according to special rules intended to make them easier to recycle. Batteries must not be leaking, must be marked as waste, and must not be accumulated indefinitely.

    Applies to: Any facility that generates or accumulates brake fluid
    Requires: Facilities must store and transport brake fluid according to specific regulations to avoid falling under more stringent hazardous waste regulations

    Applies to: Any facility carrying out processes that involve cleaning with petroleum-based (non-water-based) solvents, including degreasers and solvent-based parts washers. The regulations also cover the use and disposal of solvent wetted rags to manually wipe soils from the metal surfaces (hand wiping).
    Requires: Hazardous waste regulations may apply to storage and disposal; some facilities may need air emissions permits.

    Applies to: Any facility that owns and/or operates electrical equipment containing polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in concentrations above a specified limit
    Requires: Equipment still in service must be inspected quarterly for leaks; out of service equipment cannot be sold, and cannot be stored for more than 30 days, but must be disposed of according to EPA regulations
